Klaas received his dance education at the Brabants Conservatorium (Tilburg, the Netherlands) and the Paris Opera Ballet School. He danced with the Royal Ballet of Flanders, the Cie. Angelin Preljocaj and with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam in ballets by Balanchine, Nureyev, Kylián, Wubbe, Preljocaj, De Châtel and Leine&Roebana, among others. He is currently a staff member of the National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam.
