About the Workshop  Eastman /  “Satyagraha”:

In this workshop you will work with Eastman dancer Ema Yuasa on the repertory and assignments as used in the creation of “Satyagraha” (2017). “Satyagraha” is Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s new interpretation of Philip Glass’ eponymous three-act opera, featuring 10 Eastman dancers of various backgrounds (contemporary dance, ballet, tutting, popping, waacking, etc.), with whom he refigured this musical work into an opera-ballet in which music, voice and physical movement merge and flow together.
