Laura Rae Bernasconi is a choreographer, dancer and teacher of classical and contemporary ballet on faculty at Peridance Capezio Center in New York City, teaching open professional and adult classes as well as the Intensive Semester and Certificate Program. 

Laura has taught and coached for companies and schools such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispanico, Gallim Dance, Broadway Dance Center, The Joffrey Ballet School, The Netherlands Dance Theater l and ll, Scapino Ballet, The Henny Jurriens Studio, CODARTS Rotterdam, Norwegian National Ballet, Carte Blanche Norwegian Contemporary, Australian Dance Theater, Basel Ballet, Bern Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet and ODC/SF. 

 Ms. Bernasconi also teaches classes and workshops in hatha yoga, AcroYoga, Thai/ Shi’atsu/self massage, pointe, partnering and choreography.

 Laura’s classes focus on a healthful approach to ballet using principles of healing arts such as Gyrotonic, Feldenkrais, the Alexander Technique, The Ilan Lev Method, yoga and mindfulness, giving each student individual attention and guidance.

Laura also has ongoing dance performances with her “Ballet Bernasconi, Mudita Arts for Peace” both in Amsterdam and the US.
